Ivan J. Antosh, MD

Ivan J. Antosh, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.  He is the newest member to the team at New Braunfels Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine.

Dr. Antosh is a native of New Braunfels and a graduate of New Braunfels High School.  He obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  He went on to Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.  Dr. Antosh completed the John Feagin Orthopaedic Sports Medicine fellowship at West Point, New York.  In the summer of 2025, Dr. Antosh retired from the United States Army after over 20 years in service.  He completed 4 overseas combat deployments to Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa during his service. Additionally, he provided team coverage throughout his career in numerous roles, including the Army football team and military special operations teams.

Dr. Antosh has expertise and experience across an array of complex Orthopaedic Sports Medicine surgeries to include tendon and ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and shoulder and knee reconstruction.  He also has a particular interest in shoulder replacement as well as arthroscopic hip preservation surgery.  Dr. Antosh is an active member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Society for Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Texas Medical Association.  He has authored or co-authored numerous articles in orthopaedic peer-reviewed literature as well as multiple book chapters.

Dr. Antosh focuses on providing top-notch clinical and surgical care tailored to each individual patient.  He strives to equip his patients with all the information they need to make the best decision for their health and function.
