Physician Assistants are an integral part of New Braunfels Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Physician Assistants must receive a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and then pass a rigorous certification exam initially and then every ten years thereafter. In addition, they must obtain 100 hours of continuing medical education every two years.
In our practice, the Physician Assistants work in conjunction with each physician in a team approach. We work hard to ensure that patient care from the initial visit, potential surgery, and all aspects of care are performed in a seamless manner. Our Physician Assistants strive to provide medical care as they were trained by each surgeon specifically. This helps to maximize the continuity of care and improves the overall efficiency of the surgeon to perform more complicated tasks.
